A Little About Me...

Dina has many years working with children, teens, adults, and seniors in a variety of settings such as hospitals, schools/universities, after-school programs, and outpatient centers.

Dina Beer, LCSW, RYT is a holistic social worker and psychotherapist with integrative experience & extensive training in diverse areas. She holds her license in Social Work from NYU, and is a Kripalu trained Yoga Teacher.

Dina has a background in ballet, and modern/contemporary dance, and has many years of experience teaching various dance styles to all ages of various populations. It has been a natural progression for her to combine movement and body-oriented work such as Yoga into her therapeutic Social Work practice.

Dina's clinical Social Work experience is rooted in Western evidence-based psychotherapy treatment models, as well as treating from a body-mind-spirit perspective. She is an avid lifelong learner constantly training & looking for better ways to fine-tune her professional skills to help support her clients in their healing.

Eastern Training & Holistic Background:

Dina is a Registered Yoga teacher, trained in the Yoga practices of Meditation, Pranayam, and Asana. She studied at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health which highly influences her approach in how she incorporates Yoga techniques into her treatment sessions.

Kripalu Yoga is a gentle approach that is an accessible practice designed to adapt to all body types, ages, and fitness levels. Kripalu means 'compassion', and the practice cultivates non-judgmental awareness, linking breath with mindful movement. Students are encouraged to trust and meet the inner needs and wisdoms of their bodies through gentle exploration and attunement to their inner experience and practice at a pace that feels true & authentic in the present moment.

Dina also has training in Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Teaching Yoga in schools, and certification with Yoga4 cancer (Y4C)  with Tari Prinster.
